We visited the Maroubra Rock pool, the exposed rocky outcrops and cliffs above the rock pool make it a spectacular place. Steep steps lead down to the ocean rock pool from the Marine Parade above.
The name “Maroubra” is taken from a local Aboriginal word meaning “like thunder” – describing the sound of the surf pounding against the rocks on Maroubra Beach.
