The Nile Crocodile can live up to 70 years. Fun fact is that when a Crocodile loses a tooth it is quickly replaced by a new one and they can go through 8000 teeth in a lifetime!<\/p>\n\n\n

The Nile Crocodile (Afrikaans name Krokodil) is found throughout most of freshwater habitats in Africa.<\/p>\n

The sex of young Crocodiles are determined by temperature in the nesting site, which is a hole dug into the sand and covered over. Both parents watch over the nesting site and the female carries the young crocodiles in her mouth from the nesting site to the water.<\/p>\n

We managed to see a few in Kruger National Park, mostly far away.<\/p>\n
